Having always been an adamant fan of her hometown baseball team, she decided the best way to get close to the action was to join the club. So after earning her MBA with a focus in Accounting, Karen joined the Houston Astros Baseball Club as Manager of Ticket Office Accounting. When the club moved Minute Maid Park Karen moved into the organization's main Accounting group at Union Station.

Karen was recruited to Live Nation as the National Ticketing Coordinator, where she played an integral role as the liaison between the local box offices and Live Nation Tickets. She rose to the position of National Director of Client Services where she was responsible for ensuring the ticket company's success in major US and Canadian markets including New York, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Chicago, Detroit, and Vancouver among others.
